There are five different options for you to consider depending on what you’re looking to achieve from a coaching and mentoring service.
Here’s an overview of each service and how it can help you.
Career Coaching Plan
Available for anyone looking for specific careers related advice and support.
Examples of sessions include:
- CV review and advice on improvements
- Which courses to take to move on and up in your career
- Interview preparation
- Working through job applications
Entry-Level Coaching Plan
For PMO practitioners early in their career – possibly working as a Project Administrator, Project Co-ordinator or Project Support.
Examples of sessions at this level:
- Starting a new role and wanting to understand more about what’s expected of you
- Specific help on project, programme or PMO tasks and activities you are expected to do in your role
- Help on improving your confidence in the role
- A sounding board to talk through specific challenges you have
Mid-Career Coaching Plan
For PMO practitioners who have been working in a PMO delivering services – you will have been working as a PMO Analyst or similar.
Examples of sessions at this level:
- Looking for guidance on setting up or improving specific PMO services
- Making plans to move into the management field of PMO
- Guidance on certain activities or tasks in your role
- Working through a new position at a new organisation
- 1-2-1 education on new aspects of PMO and identifying areas for development
Management Coaching Plan
For PMO Managers currently managing project and programme level PMOs.
Examples of sessions at this level:
- New to a PMO management role and need guidance on getting started
- Previous experience in PMO management but now in a new organisation
- Guidance on accelerating your career in PMO management
- Guidance and education on PMO management topics
- Supporting and leading PMO teams
- 1-2-1 education on new aspects of PMO and identifying areas for development
Senior Level Coaching Plan
For senior level PMO Directors, Portfolio Directors and Heads of PMO who are responsible for portfolio level PMOs.
Examples of sessions at this level:
- Guidance on building or improving PMO leaderships skills
- Creating a PMO strategy – for new or refreshing PMOs
- Making the switch from a business role to a PMO leadership role
- Guidance and education on PMO management topics
- Networking and relationship building in the industry
- 1-2-1 education on new aspects of PMO
- Ongoing coaching / sounding board
