Why should I take the course?

PMO practitioners are increasingly supporting both traditional and Agile projects – this hybrid approach to project delivery is quickly becoming the norm in organisations.

For a PMO practitioner, it is imperative that you have the knowledge and understanding of these types of projects and what is required of you to maintain the support offered by the PMO.

For PMO practitioners with minimal exposure to Agile, the Foundation level of this course is sufficient to equip you with the knowledge you need to understand an Agile project lifecycle.

The course, accredited by APMG is based on the Agile Business Consortium’s framework, DSDM, which specifically focuses on the management of Agile projects.

You’ll learn about all the Agile jargon and what it means; you’ll gain an understanding of how iterative development on projects works and gain insights into how your role in an Agile environment will change.

How do I take this course?

This course is provided via eLearning. You will receive login details to access the course materials and lessons, you then take the course, learning at your own pace.

The price also includes the exam. An exam voucher will be issued to you and you can take the exam whenever you are ready. Exams are proctored, which means they can be booked and carried out remotely. You will need a PC/laptop with webcam in order to take the exam. Instructions on how to book your exam will be sent to you.

Is AgilePM well recognised?

Yes it’s the world’s leading framework and certification for Agile project management.

There are specific Agile frameworks such as SCRUM – the AgilePM one is specifically aimed at those within project management.

The AgilePM course and certification was established in 2010 based on the Agile Business Consortium’s framework which stems back to 1994.

Will it teach me what I need to know about Agile?

It’s a comprehensive course which covers the lifecycle of a project being delivered with Agile approaches and techniques.

You’ll learn about techniques such as MoSCoW, prioritisation, iterative development and timeboxing.
